Hands-on with Roslyn — from fundamentals to writing code Date: This event took place live on May 26 2015 Presented by: Josh Varty Duration: Approximately 90 minutes. Cost: Free Questions? Please send email to Description:Microsoft first started working on the new C#/VB compiler six years ago. 3.5 million lines of code later, it can be hard to know what to make of it all. Why rewrite a compiler from scratch? How can everyday developers take advantage of this new compiler? Join Josh as we explore the basics of Roslyn and how you can get started writing code analyzers with Roslyn. We'll start by taking a look at the fundamentals of Roslyn; the syntax and symbol APIs. From there we'll implement an analyzer with a codefix. Along the way we'll take a look at tools that make working with Roslyn easier. We'll conclude by taking some time to explore some of the inspiring tools being built with Roslyn.
