Jesse Robbins is Founder & CEO of Orion Labs, the award-winning platform for instant communication for people, teams, IoT devices, wearables, bots, and intelligent agents. Robbins serves on the board of HeavybitHeavybit which helps venture-backed startups loved by developers become successful businesses. Prior to Orion, Robbins was founding CEO of Chef considered by many to be the leader in infrastructure automation. He was co-founder & chair of the Velocity Web Performance & Operations Conference and was a contributor to the O'Reilly Radar. Prior to Chef he served as Amazon's “Master of Disaster” where he was responsible for website availability for every property bearing the Amazon brand. Robbins is a Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Manager, and led a task force deployed in Operation Hurricane Katrina. When not building companies or putting out fires he can be found sailing, diving, and skiing.
